How to make it

  • Heat oven to 325f
  • Fry chorizo in large skillet...breaking up as it cooks
  • Add the celery and onions
  • Stir for 2 minutes
  • Add poultry seasoning, salt, sugar and chicken broth.
  • Mix well
  • cover and reduce heat until veggies are just tender.. not mushy
  • Remove from heat, toss with breads,
  • Add the 4 eggs
  • Mix well
  • Add the tamales last...
  • Folding in gently so you don't break them up. Easier if they are cold
  • Place in a well greased 9x13 pan or 3 quart bowl.. or stuff bird
  • Bake 45 minutes COVERED
  • Bake additional 5 min... UNCOVERED
  • Diffrent, but good...

    Oh, this sounds so good, and the Texas twist will surprise my Dad#2 very much. He always requests a chorizo dressing each T-day. This would be a fun substitute and make him happy too.
