Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine all dry ingredients.
  • Add beer all at one time.
  • Mix by hand until flour and beer are combined.
  • Turn into regular size bread load pan oiled or sprayed with canola and pat down gently.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes then lay foil over top for last 15 minutes.
  • Take out and place on rack and rub unsalted butter all over the top.

    I am an All Grain Homebrewer so this is a great way to use my mashed grains after brewing.:)

    It was great - I mixed it up in the bread machine then put it in pans and baked it. Unbelievably easy!!!! yet tummy yummy -- maybe I'll try a little whole wheat in it next time, and there will be a next time. you are great for sharing. I'd bought beer bread mix from a home sales party but this is just as good and cheaper.

    I've been searching for a fermented Amish friendship bread. I wonder if this will have that same sort of flavor without having to do the friendship part of splitting the starter in half and giving it away...heh heh. Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to try it.

    I tried it and it came out great. I didn't have any lite beer in the house so made it with a bottle of Sam Adams lager. Made the house smell wonderful and the bread has a lingering flavor of good beer. Thanks!
