I really like beer bread and I love this version of it as don't have to remember to go out and buy self rising flour. Very good bread.

Do you think this would work in a bread machine?

I have never used a bread machine so don't know.

I tried it and it came out great. I didn't have any lite beer in the house so made it with a bottle of Sam Adams lager. Made the house smell wonderful and the bread has a lingering flavor of good beer. Thanks!

I've been searching for a fermented Amish friendship bread. I wonder if this will have that same sort of flavor without having to do the friendship part of splitting the starter in half and giving it away...heh heh. Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to try it.

It was great - I mixed it up in the bread machine then put it in pans and baked it. Unbelievably easy!!!! yet tummy yummy -- maybe I'll try a little whole wheat in it next time, and there will be a next time. you are great for sharing. I'd bought beer bread mix from a home sales party but this is just as good and cheaper.

I am an All Grain Homebrewer so this is a great way to use my mashed grains after brewing.:)
That is is you do it from scratch.:)
