How to make it

  • Chop your figs very fine
  • Put everything in a medium sized saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Cook uncovered over low heat until thick, about 1-2 hours.
  • Stir it occasionally.
  • .Makes about 2-2.5 cups.
  • Serve with a sharp cheddar and a dense European style bread.
