Italian Beef With Beer Sandwiches Recipe
Ok so this is a guy thing but tastes great. Wash it down with a beer or anything you prefer.

Ingredients
  • A 2 - 3 lb beef roast
  • 1 can or bottle of your favorite beer
  • 1 package Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic, or more depending on your taste
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 package of deli rolls, Keiser, or steak or sub
  • 1/4 lb butter for rolls

Directions
  1. Put all ingredients (except rolls and butter for rolls) in a dutch oven or crockpot and cover with water.
  2. Cook meat until it starts to fall apart.
  3. When meat is done, remove from pot and cool slightly to handle.
  4. Cut the meat into 1 inch pieces and shred.
  5. Return meat to juice,and reheat.
  6. While meat is reheating get out the rolls you'll be using.
  7. Split rolls and butter very heavy...this is the secret to Great Italian Beef Sandwiches!
  8. Place hot meat on the rolls, wrap in foil to keep warm or serve immediately at the table

A 'guy thing' my foot! ;-) I looove Italian Beefs!


I actually have used this recipe, it's as easy as it is fantastic! We add shredded mozzerella cheese as a topping, or sometimes we use a dry, red wine in place of the beer. To spice things up we'll add salsa verde along with the cheese, really makes the flavors pop and adds a layer of color to the dish. The leftovers also make terrific grilled cheese sandwiches!!!
