Ingredients

1 (16 oz) can pumpkin

1 can evaporated milk

3 eggs

1 1/2 cups sugar

3 tsp pumpkin pie spice

pinch salt

1 box yellow cake mix

pecans

2 sticks of butter

Directions

Mix all above ingredients with a whisk and pour into cake pan.

Sprinkle cake mix (dry) evenly over the top of mixture.

Lay pecans on to to taste.

cover entire top with thin slices of butter

bake 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour.

This is so good, I'm going home to make some.

Oh, it does sound good, but definitely artery-clogging! I think I might try it with only one stick of butter. If that's not enough, maybe subbing a little monounsaturated oil for some of it would work.

The butter goes on top. Not sure oil would work. Go with a healthy choice butter with no trans fat. Also a low fat evaporated milk would help.
