Ingredients

1 1/2 CUPS ALL- PURPOSE FLOUR

2 CUPS ROLLED OATES

1/4 CUP SUGAR

4 TSP. BAKING POWDER

1/2 TSP SALT

1/2 CUP CURRANTS

1 EGG-BEATEN

1/2 CUP UNSALTED BUTTER-MELTED

1/3 CUP MILK

PREHEAT OVEN TO 425F.

Directions

COMBINE FLOUR,OATES,SUGAR,BAKING POWDER,SALT AND CURANTS IN A LARGE BOWL,MIX WELL.

MAKE A WELL IN THE CENTER

BEAT EGG TILL FROSTY,MIX WITH MELTED BUTTER AND MILK

POUR INTO WELL AND STIR TO MAKE A SOFT DOUGH

DIVIDE IN HALH AND PAT INTO 2 6"-7" CIRCLES

SCORE EACH TOP INTO 8 WEDGES

BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES,UNTIL RISEN AND BROWNED

SERVE WITH BUTTER & JAM OR WITH LEMON CURD.
