How to make it

  • COMBINE FLOUR,OATES,SUGAR,BAKING POWDER,SALT AND CURANTS IN A LARGE BOWL,MIX WELL.
  • MAKE A WELL IN THE CENTER
  • BEAT EGG TILL FROSTY,MIX WITH MELTED BUTTER AND MILK
  • POUR INTO WELL AND STIR TO MAKE A SOFT DOUGH
  • DIVIDE IN HALH AND PAT INTO 2 6"-7" CIRCLES
  • SCORE EACH TOP INTO 8 WEDGES
  • BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES,UNTIL RISEN AND BROWNED
  • SERVE WITH BUTTER & JAM OR WITH LEMON CURD.
