How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350, place rack in center of oven
  • Blend together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1 egg, on low speed until smooth, about 1 minute
  • Set aside
  • Set hot fudge packet from ix aside
  • Combine brownie mix, oil, 1 T waterand 2 remaining eggs by hand, about 50 strokes
  • Spread 1/2 c of the brownie mixutre in the bottom of the crust.
  • Spoon cream cheese mixture over this and carefully spread with rubber spatula
  • Top with remaining brownie mixture, spreadking evenly to smooth out the top
  • Sprinkle pecans on top
  • Bake until crust is deep golden brown, center has puffed up, and nuts have toasted, about 40-45 minutes
  • Cool on wire rack for 30 minutes
  • Just before serving, open hot fudge packet and empty into microwave safe bowl
  • Het on high power for 30 seconds
  • Stir in remaining 1 T water
  • Drizzle over the top of the pie.
  • OR Drizzle over pie and chill 3 hours, then serve.
