How to make it

  • In a shallow dish, mix together the garlic powder, pepper, sal, paprika, bread crumbs and flour. In a seperate dish, whisk together the milk and egg.
  • Heat the oil in an electric skillet set to 350 degrees F. Dip the chicken into the egg and milk, then dredge in the dry ingredients until evenly coated.
  • Fry chicken in the hot oil for about 5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from the oil with a slotted spatula, and serve.

    Oct 16/16 - we had this wonderful recipe again last night. I used full bonless skinless chicken breasts and legs. After I dredge the chicken I allowed it to sit for several minutes then I dredged again. Sprayed with Veg Spray then baked at 425 degree for 20 minutes turned then baked for another 15 minuets. Love the flavour of this

    Very delicious. I used boneless skinless thighs that were already pretty thin. It took about 8 minutes in my electric skillet. Used smoked paprika otherwise made as written. More in Nadine's IMI link below.

    April 29/16 Wow this is a fantastic recipe. I used boneless skinless chicken legs and breasts. I did not pound the chicken either. I placed the chicken on my broiler pan sprayed with oil and baked at 400 degrees for about 40 to 45 minutes. The chicken was tender and full of great flavour. I did not find that the garlic over power the rest of the ingredients. Since I was using the amount of chicken I was I doubled the recipe and found that I had way more than enough. Next time I will use the amount recommended. I will be making this again.

    This was a very good meal. I was too hungry to create any side dishes. It's great with a slice of olive rosemary bread. Ooops...I forgot to pound the chicken. All in all, I really enjoyed making and eating this recipe. It was simple to follow, and easy to make.
