We bought some beautiful turnips and carrots from the farmers market yet had no idea what to do with them. This looked like a good starter recipe and we we're really shocked by how delicious it was. So go, the Mr. has seconds. Thanks for the post!

This combination sounds really good. I've been eating a lot of root vegtatables latetly. I mash 4 potatoes with 4 turnips the traditional way (whipped)and serve with butter. I'll have to try it with carrots on the "lumpy" side.
