How to make it
- Butter a medium saucepan . It makes it easier to clean. Add cream and place on stove over high heat. Bring to boil and immediatley add the sugar and stir rapidly until it disolves. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Lower heat to medium and stir frequently. Bring to soft ball stage (236 on candy thermometer). Remove from heat and beat in butter. Candy will lose its gloss and become cloudy. On waxed paper, drop good size spoonfulls. Stir ocasionally to keep ingredients combined. When pralines have cooled, remove. They will be hard to remove later.

Hope you know this caused a inch or two oh the hips! Had some pecans I wanted to use up so made these this last weekend... Good thing we had company or I would have eaten the whole batch..
