Railroad Cake

According to my Mom's cookbook this is a 150 year old recipe. I'm guessing an 8' square pan to bake it in. Thought it might be interesting to some of you. No detailed directions were with it, I guess you're just supposed to know.
Ingredients
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 C sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbl unsalted butter,melted shopping list
- 1 c flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 3 Tbl milk shopping list
- 1 tsp favorite flavoring shopping list
How to make it
- These directions should work
- Cream together eggs and sugar
- Add melted shortening
- Blend in flour and baking powder
- Mix in milk and flavoring
- Bake at 350 until done....probably check it in 20-25 minutes
