Bacon And Cheddar Beer Bread Recipe

Bacon, cheese, beer and bread--what else do you need? Makes a great tomato sandwich.

Ingredients
- 4 slices lean bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, finely diced
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 can beer
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray loaf pan with vegetable oil spray.
- Mix the flour, sugar, bacon and cheddar in a non-metal bowl. Add the can of beer. Stir with a wooden spoon. Spoon into the loaf pan.
- Place the oven rack in the upper middle position. Bake the bread on the rack for about 50 minutes or until tester into center comes out clean.
- Let rest 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and let cool completely before slicing.
