Lemon Dream Bars Recipe
LOL I have to say again it will all depend on how big you cut the bars and how many each person eats. They are pretty yummie so betcha can't just eat one. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 3 C. graham cracker crumbs
  • 3/4 C. butter melted
  • 1 egg plus 3 egg yolks
  • 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk(not evaporated)
  • 1/2 C. lemon juice

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a large bowl mix graham cracker crumbs, butter and lightly beaten egg until combined.
  3. Reserve one cup of the mixture.
  4. Press remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9x13" baking dish.
  5. Bake 10-15 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  6. Wtih mixer or wire whisk, beat 3 egg yolks, add Eagle Brand and then lemon juice.
  7. Spread over pressed crumb mixture.
  8. Top with reserved crumb mixture. Bake 25 minutes longer or until set.
  9. Cool. Refrigerate 2 hours. Cut into bars.

These were...(notice I used the past tense) awesome! I made them in time for my husband to take some to work and now I have requests from the fellas...They were light, creamy and lemony all in one and the graham crackers gave it an awesome texture as well. Thanks for a great recipe..we certainly enjoyed it and I will be making it again & again & again!


I just finished cutting these into bars and I should have just grabbed a spoon and sat down at the table with the whole pan LOL! These are to die for!!! Henrie you have to stop posting recipes like this because I don't want to gain that 70 lbs. I just lost back!
