For our daughter's birthday cake, DH suggested we make marzipan decorations like we had done for her 9th birthday.

PS. I haven't made marzipan myself yet, can you please tell how it should be stored (ie: in the fridge, etc) and also how long it will keep? Thank you.

Hi, this sounds great. Question- what happens if the almonds become pasty in the grinding process? I dont have a coffee grinder but I have a Juicer (yes a powerful juicer) that grinds nuts like almonds into a thick paste. Will that not suffice for the home-made marzipan? Thank you!
