Black Bean Potato And Jalapeno Soup

- 1 can ( 16 oz.) black beans, drained shopping list
- 2 potatoes diced shopping list
- 1/2 lb cooked ham, cut into pieces shopping list
- 6 cups beef broth shopping list
- 2 onions chopped or 1/4 cup dried onions shopping list
- 1 (4 oz) can chopped jalapeno or mild chili peppers shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 teasp. cumin shopping list
- 1 teasp. oregano shopping list
- 1 teasp. thyme shopping list
- optional: you can add more garlic, cooked hot italian sausage, shopping list
- use ham broth or chicken broth shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the ingredients in al crockpot or slow cooker
- cover and cook on low for 8 - 10 hours or on high for 4 - 5 hours
- to serve; garnish the bowls with a dollop of sour cream and chopped tomatoes if desired

This looks like a good, healthy recipe! Love jalapeno peppers and grow them here in the summertime! Wish I had luck growing cilantro! I'm gonna try this recipe soon!
