Easy Steamy Hot Hotdog Bun Recipe
Nice, hot and steamy just like from the corner hot dog stand or from the ball park :)

Ingredients
  • 1 wet paper towel
  • 1 cheep store brand hotdog bun

Directions
  1. Wet a paper towel and ring out all of the excess water
  2. Place the hotdog bun in the paper towel and completely roll the paper towel around the bun to cover it
  3. Microwave for 12-15 seconds (depending on the strength of your microwave)
  4. Unwrap bun, fix hotdog and enjoy :)

Have tried this and it makes the hotdogs just like the ones you used to get at baseball games!! Makes a big difference in taste.

I'm with you. I've always preferred the commercial buns over bakery buns. I think it's because they don't compete with the meat. (I'm a poet.) The dog should be the dominant flavor, especially after I've put a lot of time into charring it to perfection.
Your method for steaming the buns makes all the difference. A cold stiff bun is no fun. (Ha.)
