Easy Steamy Hot Hotdog Bun Recipe

How to make it

  • Wet a paper towel and ring out all of the excess water
  • Place the hotdog bun in the paper towel and completely roll the paper towel around the bun to cover it
  • Microwave for 12-15 seconds (depending on the strength of your microwave)
  • Unwrap bun, fix hotdog and enjoy :)

    I have done it with the hot dog in the bun and then steam. Works great!

    i do this with 2 day old italian bread
    now ill doit with the bun
    my hubby loves good beef franks
    like Nathan's or Hebrewnational the cost
    5.00 a pack you need good buns

    I'm with you. I've always preferred the commercial buns over bakery buns. I think it's because they don't compete with the meat. (I'm a poet.) The dog should be the dominant flavor, especially after I've put a lot of time into charring it to perfection.
    Your method for steaming the buns makes all the difference. A cold stiff bun is no fun. (Ha.)
