Par Cooking the Broccoli evens out the cooking time keeping the beef juicy and tender and not tough and over cooked.

Yes Ginger would be Gr8t in this...As a matter of fact if you added enough Ginger to make it the prominent flavor(with out over doing it) you could call this a "Ginger Beef Stir fry" with the addition of your favorite vegetables: Bamboo Shoots,Water Chestnuts,Bell Peppers, Bok Choy etc...
