Tequila Poppers Recipe

Tequila Poppers Recipe
This is a fun grown up party food. I could never serve these when my kids were around cause they loved cherry tomatos.

Ingredients
  • 2 pts cherry tomatoes
  • 2 C. tequila
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • 2 T. coarse salt
  • 2 tsp grated lemons rind

Directions
  1. Wash the tomatoes and gently pierce each one 2 or 3 times with a small skewer.
  2. Place tomatoes in a bowl with the tequila and limes, cover and chill for 4 hrs or more- (I usually let them marinate over night) stirring them a couple times.
  3. To serve, drain the tequila- pile the tomatoes in a bowl and serve with coarse salt mixed with the lemon peel for dipping.
  4. Careful, these will disappear quickly!
