Yorkshire Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup flour

2 tsp. salt

11/2 tsp. dried sage

1/4 tsp. pepper

21/2-3 lbs. chicken

1/4 cup shortening

1/8 tsp. pepper

1 cup flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

3 well beaten eggs

11/2 cups milk

1/4 cup softened butter

1/4 cup parsley

Directions

Combine first four ingredients and coat the chicken pieces with them.

Brown in shortening. Place in greased casserole.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.

Beat eggs, milk, butter and parsley in a bowl and gradually beat in the flour.

Pour over chicken and bake at 350 degrees for and hour.

Adjust time if using skinless, boneless chicken
