Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Browned Butter

- 40 asparagus spears, trimmed (about 2 lbs.) shopping list
- cooking spray shopping list
- ¼ tsp. kosher salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- 2 tbsp. butter shopping list
- 2 tsp. soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Arrange asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Coat asparagus with cooking spray.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 12 min. or until tender.
- Melt butter in skillet until lightly browned.
- Remove from heat and stir in soy sauce and vinegar.
- Add asparagus and toss. Makes 8 servings.
- Tip: When choosing asparagus, note that the fresh ones are firm not soft, at the tips. Bend a spear until it snaps and discard the bottom part. If asparagus is rather thick, use a vegetable peeler on the stems.
