Ingredients

How to make it

  • Pour the sugar into a large pitcher. Bring water to a boil in a large pan. When the water begins to boil, remove from the heat, and place the teabags in. Let steep for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags, and return tea to the heat. Bring just to a boil, then pour into the pitcher, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Fill the pitcher half way with ice, and stir until most of it melts. Then fill the pitcher the rest of the way with cold water, and stir until blended.

I spent most of the summer in Colorado, where people look at you funny and snicker when you ask for sweet tea... gave a waitress a $20 tip at one place cuz she made us a pitcher of sweet tea and brought it to our table...

We love sweet tea. So many don't serve sweet tea, even in Florida. We love it so strong that you can't even see thru it. Strong & sweet. I'm gonna have to make some now!!

My husband says you are an angel from God. We've been looking for a sweet tea recipe and I just could not get it right. I saw your recipe and my hubbie went into spasms. I just made it and it is perfect. He said to tell you he loves you! Seriously he does. He told me to get back on here and give you a 10 if I could. Thanks so much!
