How to make it

  • Heat the cream until its just about to boil making sure to stir. Throw it in the blender with all the other ingredients and whizz until the racket stops! Pour into little espresso cups or liqueur glasses and chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or preferably 8 hours

    Sound wonderful!
    I don't understand why you bother to heat the cream? Is it so the yolks might cook just a bit by association? I'm not being entirely serious here, but I am very protective of my good booze. I never let it near heat because the first thing to evaporate is the alcohol.

    In France, I stayed with a family that made something like this, it was like a booze drenched chocolate mousse...then they hollowed out eggs and made a hole in the top large enough to fill each empty eggshell. Wrapped them in foil, and hid them outside on Easter.
