Corn Sausage Chowder

- 1 pound bulk pork sausage shopping list
- 1 cup coarsely chopped onion shopping list
- 4 cups peeled potatoes, 1/2" dice shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp crushed dried marjoram shopping list
- 1/8 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 can (17 oz) cream style corn shopping list
- 1 can (17 oz) whole kernal corn (drained) shopping list
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk shopping list
How to make it
- In Dutch oven or kettle, cook sausage till no longer pink
- Add onion and cook till tender
- Remove and drain on paper towel
- Return sausage/onion to pan
- Add potatoes, salt, marjoram, pepper and water
- Bring to boil and reduce heat
- Simmer just until potatoes are tender
- Add cream-style corn, whole kernal corn and mix
- Add evaporated milk and stir
- Turn heat down to LOW and heat thoroughly

I've made this often. It's great on a cold day, but also when fresh corn is available. Otherwise I use frozen bagged corn. Get the roasted, if you can find it.
