From a local resturant in the area, and got the recipe from a neighbor after she gave us some to taste. Love it and it's easy too!! Great with a nice fresh loaf of bread

Ingredients
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped onion
  • 4 cups peeled potatoes, 1/2" dice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp crushed dried marjoram
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can (17 oz) cream style corn
  • 1 can (17 oz) whole kernal corn (drained)
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

Directions
  1. In Dutch oven or kettle, cook sausage till no longer pink
  2. Add onion and cook till tender
  3. Remove and drain on paper towel
  4. Return sausage/onion to pan
  5. Add potatoes, salt, marjoram, pepper and water
  6. Bring to boil and reduce heat
  7. Simmer just until potatoes are tender
  8. Add cream-style corn, whole kernal corn and mix
  9. Add evaporated milk and stir
  10. Turn heat down to LOW and heat thoroughly

I've made this often. It's great on a cold day, but also when fresh corn is available. Otherwise I use frozen bagged corn. Get the roasted, if you can find it.
