Chocolate Peanut Sweeties

This recipe came from one of my cookbooks. Chocolate covered peanut butter sitting on a salty pretzel. Resistance is futile.
Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter-softened shopping list
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar shopping list
- 60 miniature pretzels(about 3 cups) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips shopping list
- 1 tablespoon shortening shopping list
How to make it
- In a small mixing bowl,beat peanut butter and butter until smooth.
- Beat in confectioners' sugar until combined.
- Shape into 1" balls. Press on each pretzel.
- Place on waxed paper lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until peanut butter is set.
- In a microwave safe bowl or heavy saucepan,melt chocolate chips and shortening,stirring until smooth.
- Dip peanut butter balls into chocolate. Return to baking sheet. pretzel side down.
- Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
