Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 T unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing (yes, it has to be Miracle Whip!)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375ยบ
  2. Blend sugar and cocoa together
  3. Sift baking soda and flour and add to sugar
  4. Mix in water, vanilla, and Miracle Whip
  5. The batter will be foamy
  6. Pour into a greased layer cake, flat pan, or bundt cake pan
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes
  8. Let cool completely before frosting
  9. Frost with whipped cream flavored with a little sugar & cocoa, or sift confectioners sugar thru a doily to decorate

Yummy, no wonder you always requested this for your birthday cake! I always wanted chocolate but always got coconut! Funny thing is now I want coconut but always get chocolate!haha Thanks for the post. 5 for you and your mom's recipes!
