This is how I was taught to make tea. It is sweet tea...Southern Sweet Tea...It may be a little strong for some and weak for others ...It may be too sweet for some and maybe not sweet enough for others but for my family it is just right!

Awwww, I kill for a glass of this right now. ANother quirky thing about living in IL, the first time I ordered tea here I asked the waitress if the tea was sweetened or unsweetend, she looked at me like I was an idiot. My hubby quickyly explained that they do not serve sweet tea here. And I thought I was the hillybilly, lol. They just don't cook here the way they do down South, I miss it too.

Oh my...I think I will just have to stay here. LOL

Do you have a particular tea you like best?

I love sweet tea!!! Have you ever added orange slice to it with lemon ? It is delicious!!

I live on tea. Some of my friends from up North had never had sweet iced tea until coming to VA. They only had hot tea. Sweet iced tea on a hot summer day is the best.

Love Sweet Tea! :)

I've got sweet tea runnin thru my veins! Love this recipe.... 2 cups of sugar per gallon of tea! Woo Hoo! Gotta love the south - sweet tea is a must have at any eatery - and it must be S*W*E*E*T!

Sweet tea, made something like this, was served with every meal in my mother's house. Now I have one of those tea machines and always have a pitcher in the frig!

Sweet tea love it. Went to see some friends in IL and asked for sweet tea. The server got me some tea alright and first gulp I took...I did not know what to do held it in my mouth for a while and then finally swallowed it. It was horrible. Asked the server again for sweet tea and she gave me a look! Finally my friend mentioned that they do not serve sweet tea. What a disappointment..she moved from Nc to Il. I love it annd the recipe makes me want to make some. Thanks
