Creamy Rice Apple Pud

- 3 cups skim milk shopping list
- 1 ½ cups water shopping list
- ¾ cup brown long-grain rice shopping list
- 2 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1 large egg, beaten shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 tsp maple extract shopping list
- 1 medium macintosh apple, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- In large saucepan, combine milk, water, rice and sugar.
- Bring rice to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender, about 40 minutes.
- Remove 1/2 cup rice mixture and mix with egg.
- Return to saucepan and add vanilla, maple and apple.
- Serve warm.
