Chocolate Pudding Cake

- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups sugar, divided shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup melted butter, divided shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups water shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Place a 10 inch cast iron skillet in oven for 15 minutes to preheat
- Sift together flour, 3/4 cup of the sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl
- Add milk, 3 tablespoons of the butter and vanilla stirring until smooth
- Set this mixture aside
- Combine 1 1/3 cups of sugar and water in a small saucepan.
- Bring this to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar
- Remove from heat
- Place 1 tablespoon melted butter in prepared skillet to coat skillet
- really well
- Add batter, spreading evenly over pan
- Pour water mixture over batter, do not stir
- mixture will bubble
- Bake for 28 to 30 minutes or until cake is set
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving
- Bake at 375 degrees
