Not A Trifling Dessert

- 1 to 2 packages lady fingers shopping list
- 3 tablespoons Sherry or orange liqueur shopping list
- 1 cup blackberries, macerated shopping list
- 3 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 1 large package instant vanilla pudding mix shopping list
- 3 cups milk shopping list
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 1 (2-oz.) package slivered almonds shopping list
- 1 pint fresh raspberries and/or blueberries, or strawberries shopping list
How to make it
- Line a clear medium bowl (or trifle bowl) with separated ladyfingers to cover bottom and insides of bowl.
- Gently press fingers together at seams to set.
- Sprinkle fingers with sherry or orange liqueur.
- Mash blackberries and mix with sugar.
- Add to bowl and spread bottom to cover ladyfingers.
- In a second bowl, combine instant vanilla pudding mix with 3 cups milk. Stir or mix until pudding is stiff.
- Fold in heavy cream until evenly incorporated.
- fill bowl with cream pudding and top with berries and almonds.
- Cover and chill.
- note: You can add more fruit or more layers of lady fingers, fruit etc.
- Michele used sugarless instant pudding.
- optional: Garnish the very top with a few mint leaves.
