Hot Jalapeno Jam

- 12 jalepeno peppers, seeded and halved shopping list
- 2 tomatoes shopping list
- boiling water shopping list
- 1 onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 green apple shopping list
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Arrange pepper halves on a broiler pan; broil until skins are blackened.
- Remove; cover with a towel and set aside until cool.
- Slice an "X" in the base of both tomatoes; place in a small bowl and cover with boiling water for 2 minutes.
- Drain and cool.
- Peel and discard skins from peppers and tomatoes; finely chop peppers and tomatoes.
- Combine with remaining ingredients in a heavy saucepan; heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heart and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Store, covered in a refrigerator for up to one month.
