Spicy Cheese and Beer Soup

- 2 tbls. butter shopping list
- 1 onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 carrot, shredded shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sharp American cheese, shredded shopping list
- 1 can(12oz.) beer shopping list
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded shopping list
- 1/2 lb. linguica, cut into bite size pieces shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in saucepan
- Add onion, carrot, and cabbage and cook until tender
- Whisk together milk and flour
- Stir into onion mixture
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly(about 5 minutes)
- Over low heat, add cheese gradually, stirring constantly (DO NOT BOIL)
- Stir in beer and linguica
- Heat through

Oh my....come to momma. I love cheese, beer and linguica...add the supporting characters and you have a hearty, spicy, comforting super tasty soup. Great post - thanks so much. I wish I had some right now... =)
