choco-pecan pie with dulce de leche

- FOR THE CRUST shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 90 grs. butter, (1 stick) shopping list
- 1 tbsp.sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- FOR THE FILLING shopping list
- 1 1/3 sticks of butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 150 grs.semisweet chocolate in pieces shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup shopping list
- 1 tbsp.vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 8 eggs shopping list
- 200 grs. pecan halves shopping list
- FOR THE TOPPING shopping list
- 1 cup dulce de leche (or your favorite caramel recipe) shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- FOR THE CRUST
- Process the flour with butter, sugar, and salt , add 1/4 cup of cold water and mix untill you get a good consistency.
- cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
- After that in a piece of parchmente paper place your dough, flour your rolling pin and gently roll the dough, and press firmly into the corners, place in the refrigerator until the fiiling is ready.
- FOR THE FILLING
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except the pecans and the chocolate in pieces, whisk untill everything is fully integrated.
- Remove the pie shell from the refrigerator.
- Pour the mixture and allow pecans to float in the surface as well as the chocolate.
- place in the oven for 45 min. aprox
- FOR THE TOPPING
- Dilute the dulce de leche with the milk boil over low heat for 2 minutes.
- When the pie is ready you turn it upsidedown and pour the dulce de leche sauce all over and its done!!!!
