Peppered Pork with Chive Sauce

- 4 boneless pork chops, 3/4 inch thick shopping list
- 1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper, black or tricolored shopping list
- 2 tsp. olive oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 3 tbls. dry sherry or chicken broth shopping list
- 1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese and chives (or 3oz. pkg plain cream cheese mixed with finely chopped chives) shopping list
- Fresh chives, chopped for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Lightly rub pepper into both sides of pork chops
- Heat oil in skillet and cook pork chops for 8-10 minutes until no longer pink, turning once
- Remove from skillet and keep warm
- Add water to hot skillet
- Add sherry or broth and heat until bubbling
- Add cream cheese
- Whisk until cheese is melted
- Pour sauce over pork
- Garnish with chopped chives
