Pickled Red Onions

- 1 large red onion, sliced paper thin shopping list
- 1/4 cup white vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Splenda shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sea salt shopping list
- 5 garlic cloves, cracked shopping list
- bay leaf shopping list
- 1 tbsp black peppercorns shopping list
How to make it
- In a sauce pan, combine the water, vinegar, Splenda, salt, garlic, bay and pepper.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, cook 5 minutes.
- Add the onion and let simmer three minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from the heat, allow to cool and store in the liquid.
