Your My Honey Bun Cake

- NON STICK SPRAY shopping list
- 1 BOX yellow cake mix shopping list
- 1 CUP sour cream shopping list
- 3/4 CUP vegetable oil shopping list
- 4 LARGE eggs shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 1/3 CUP honey shopping list
- 1/3 CUP PACKED light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 TABLESPOON cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 CUP FINELY CHOPPED pecans shopping list
- sugar GLAZE: shopping list
- 2 CUPS CONFECTIONER'S sugar (SIFTED) shopping list
- 1/3 CUP milk shopping list
- 1 TEASPOON pure vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES
- SPRAY 13X9 INCH PAN WITH NON STICK SPRAY
- PLACE THE CAKE MIX, SOUR CREAM, OIL, AND EGGS IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL. BLEND WITH AN ELECTRIC MIXER FOR 1 MINUTE ON LOW SPEED.
- SCRAP THE SIDES OF THE BOWL WITH RUBBER SPATULA, INCREASE THE SPEED OF MIXER TO MEDIUM AND BEAT 2 MORE MINUTES.
- THE BATTER SHOULD LOOK THICK AND WELL BLENDED.
- POUR THE BATTER INTO PAN.
- DRIZZLE THE HONEY
- THEN THE BROWN SUGAR
- THEN THE CINNAMON
- AND LAST THE PECANS
- WITH A DINNER KNIFE, SWIRL THROUGH THESE INGREDIENTS TO BLEND THEM SLIGHTLY
- PLACE IN OVEN
- BAKE THE CAKE UNTIL IT IS GOLDEN BROWN AND SPRINGS BACK WHEN YOU LIGHTLY PRESS WITH YOUR FINGER FOR 35 MINUTES.
- FOR THE GLAZE PLACE THE CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR, MILK AND VANILLA IN MIXING BOWL AND STIR UNTIL COMBINED.
- POUR THE GLAZE OVER THE TOP OF THE HOT CAKE, SPREADING WITH A SPOON, MAKE SURE SOME OF THE GLAZE GETS DOWN INTO THE SIDES OF THE CAKE. SOMETIMES I MAKE EXTRA GLAZE, SINCE WE LIKE EXTRA GLAZE..
