Donnies Plain Lasagna For Four

- 1 pound ground chuck shopping list
- ½ cup onion, chopped shopping list
- ¼ cup water shopping list
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano, undrained shopping list
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste with basil, garlic and oregano shopping list
- 1 pinch of sugar shopping list
- 6 dry lasagna noodles shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley shopping list
- Pam cooking spray shopping list
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In a 10 inch sauce pan, over medium heat, brown ground beef and onion till brown then drain fat.
- Return meat mixture to the pan.
- Mix in the diced tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, sugar and water.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles, and cook for 5 to 8 minutes (until cooked), drain.
- Lay noodles flat on paper towels, and blot dry.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Spray an 8X8X2 inch Pyrex baking dish with Pam.
- Layer ½ of the lasagna noodles in the bottom of the baking dish (Noodles may have to be trimmed to fit)
- Next, put ½ the meat sauce mixture then ½ of the mozzarella cheese and ½ of the cheddar cheese over the noodles.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Bake (uncovered) in the oven 30 minutes.
- After cooking for 15 minutes, sprinkle the dried parsley over cheese.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
