Salisbury Steak Recipe

Ingredients

1 2/3 cup crushed saltine crackers

2 pounds ground beef

½ cup catsup (or ketchup)

2 eggs

2 teaspoons chopped onion

2 teaspoons fresh chopped parsley

1 teaspoon (or more) Worcestershire sauce

1 ½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon marjoram

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 can mushroom soup

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon (or more) dry sherry

pinch of garlic salt

1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (or fresh ones if you prefer)

1 tablespoon (or more) chopped pimiento. (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine first 11 ingredients and make into patties.

Place patties in shallow casserole dish.

Heat next 5 ingredients in saucepan and pour over patties.

Bake for 45 minutes.

During the last 10 minutes add last 2 ingredients.

Serves 8
