How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 360 F. Grease a baking sheet with butter.
  • Mix condensed milk with vanilla, add coconut and stir well with a metal spoon. Fill a piping bag fitted with a large serrated nozzle with all of the mixture and pipe small rosettes on the baking sheet. Top each with cherries halves and bake for 15-20 minutes. Cool and sift icing sugar over each one.

Oh Ahmed - these are just beautiful. I love coconut macaroons - but placing the cherry on top and sifting icing sugar over just makes them magical looking. Great job, my friend - you are an artist!

I have a version where I use honey as a sweetener. Hmph they are never crunchy! This is very interesting how you use sweetened condensed milk, I HATE it can I use coconut milk instead? sometimes I do in replace of it in certain recipes and everything comes out fine.
I'm going to use my version but add cherries, like in yours, can't wait. They are so pretty.
