Beer Chicken Not Beer Butt Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1 12 oz can/bottle beer...take yer pick!

4 boneless chicken breast halves

2 T butter

1 c sliced mushrooms

1 clove garlic, minced (of course garlic!)

1 T grated parmesan cheese

Directions

Pour 1/2 of the beer in glass dish or bowl. Add chicken breasts, toss to coat, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.

Melt 1 T butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic, add mushrooms and saute for 5 - 10 minutes or until cooked; remove from skillet and reserve.

Melt remaining 1 T butter in the skillet over med high heat and add chicken. Saute 5 - 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through and juices run clear. Reduce heat to low, pour remaining beer over chicken and add reserved mushrooms/garlic.

Cover and let simmer another 5 - 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve with cooked rice or pasta

Garnish with fresh parsley.

Wow, I thought I was clicking on a beer can in the butt Chicken recipe. I've never heard of chicken being cooked like this before and I'm huge fan of beer. Did you use a dark beer or something light? I can't wait to try this one out!!
