Penne With Bolognese Sauce

- 1 Tbs. olive oil shopping list
- 1 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic shopping list
- 1 small diced onion shopping list
- 1 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry red wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1 can (29 oz) tomato puree shopping list
- 1 can (14.5 oz) beef broth shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 lb penne pasta shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and olive oil.
- Sauté the garlic and onions 1 minute, until onion is transparent.
- Add the beef and cook until no pink remains, drain any fat.
- Add wine and cook for 5 minutes, reducing it.
- Add the milk and cook to reduce, about 5 minutes.
- Add tomato puree, broth, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
- Simmer 45 minutes, or until desired consistency is reached.
- While sauce is simmering, cook pasta according to package directions.
- Serve sauce over cooked pasta.
- Enjoy!
