How to make it

  • Set grill, either indoor or outdoor to medium high heat
  • Season with salt and generous amount of pepper
  • Grill for 10 minutes or so, turning occasionally
  • In saucepan put chili powder and cumin over medium heat for about a minute to toast
  • Mix in chili sauce, molasses, cider vinegar, orange juice and peel
  • Reduce heat to medium low and simmer until sauce slightly thickens( about 5 minutes)
  • Split sauce in half
  • With 1 half, brush chicken and continue to cook for another 15 minutes or so until chicken is crisp and brown, turning occasionally
  • Serve chicken with other half of sauce
