How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Leave all fruit and nuts whole, and chocolate in rather large chunks.
  • Add sugar to well beaten eggs, then flour sifted with baking powder.
  • Pour over fruit and nuts and mix well.
  • Pour into a large loaf pan, lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Keep covered with parchement paper while it is rising in oven.

    Ruskingerl, this is wonderful any time or year,a scoop of vanilla ice cream a la mode a little chocolate syrup and you have a Bishops Nut sundae.

    Sounds terrific! Love anything with chocolate chunks. To tell you the truth, the title of the bread sounded a little risque and it momentarily startled me when I saw it *stifling giggle* But I KNOW you don't mean any disrespect, especially not on the clergy *snicker snort*
