How to make it

  • COMBINE SODA,SUGAR,HOT SAUCE,RED PEPPER FLAKES, BLACK PEPPER AND ONION SLICES IN A LARGE POT
  • BRING TO A LOW BOIL AND ADD TURKEY LEGS
  • BOIL OVER MEDIUM HEAT FOR ABOUT 3O MINUTES OR UNTIL THE TURKEY LEGS REGISTER AND INTERNAL TEMP. OF 165 DEGREES F.
  • MEANWHILE PREHEAT YOUR GRILL
  • PLACE ONION SLICES ON THE HEATED GRILL AND PUT THE TURKEY LEGS ON TOP OF THE ONION SLICES
  • BRUSH WITH HONEY AND SPRINKLE WITH STEAK SEASONING AND GROUND BLACK PEPPER
  • GRILL OVER MEDIUM HEAT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES WATCHING CAREFULLY TO AVOID BURNING TURN AS NEEDED
  • THE SKIN SHOULD BE CRISPY BROWN WHEN TURKEY LEGS ARE DONE, THIS IS A QUICK WAY TO MAKE THESE, OTHER THAN SMOKING THEM FOR HOURS.

    So we tried them last night and they were AMAZING!! The best I have ever had!! The onions on the grill...wow...definately doing this one again!

    I have a smiliara recipe that i useon the wild turkeys i get and speaking if which i got about an 15 pounder today it had a 9 inch beard....season opened yesterday.....looking foward to getting a few more for the freezer thanks for the recipe i will be trying it this comming week
