Ingredients
  • 1 cup grits - cooked
  • 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 3/4 cups hot milk
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb hot sausage, cooked & fat drained off

Directions
  1. Mix all together
  2. Bake 45 minutes at 325 degrees F

I REALLY miss grits and can't get them here, nor can I get Jiffy cornbread mix or American-style/flavored sausage. Am I defeated? NO! I'll work on this and make it with what I can find. A 5 to you!

I don't particularly like grits, but this is a whole different ball park. I am going to make it for my family, they will love it!!
