Peanut Butter French Toast Recipe

Very tasty french toast recipe that I purchased from the Hoffman Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1988. This one is tried and true and we all love it. Hope you do too.

Ingredients
- 3 eggs slightly beaten
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 6 day old bread slices
- Butter
Directions
- Beat eggs with salt, sugar, milk and peanut butter until mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Dip slices of bread in mixture coating bread on both sides.
- Grease heavy skillet generously with butter and place over high heat until butter sizzles.
- Brown bread in hot skillet turning once to brown both sides.
- Serve warm with syrup or honey.

I always put peanut butter ON my french toast. I never considered making it part of the recipe. I *must* try this.
