I just asked another person for this recipe because I didn't see this one. I had these many times while visiting Rome. There was one ristorante that made them particularly well in the Jewish Ghetto.

These look sooo yummy! I love artichokes but have never cooked them myself. Yours will be my very first artichoke recipe, can't wait to try them! I look forward to sharing with you. I absolutely love Italian! Blessings, deb

I have been looking for a recipe for this! I used to go to a famous restaurant in NYC that made this. I would have it every time I went. It was called Artichokes alla Giudea fried “Roman Jewish ghetto style” and cost $16.95! I loved this and now that I don't live in Manhattan anymore I miss it. I want to make it myself. You have to try it, it's delicious and it doesn't need anything on it but they used to serve it with lemon.
