Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine first five ingredients in small bowl and mix well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add evaporated milk and mix well. Stir in pecan halves and vanilla. Mix well and turn into pie shell. Bake in preheated 400ºF oven ten minutes. Reduce heat to 350ºF and bake additional thirty-five to forty minutes, or until filling is puffed in center and is well browned. Let pie cool before cutting. Makes eight servings.

Great post JoyMarie, you got my 5 on this pecan pie. That was so tragic when the sugar refinery here had that explosion. So many lost their lives, some are still in the burn center. It will be a long time before things are back to normal if ever :(
