Texas Pecan Pie

- 9-inch unbaked pie shell shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups Imperial sugar light brown sugar or Dixie Crystals light brown sugar (firmly packed) shopping list
- 1/2 cup Imperial sugar Extra Fine Granulated sugar or Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups pecan halves shopping list
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Combine first five ingredients in small bowl and mix well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add evaporated milk and mix well. Stir in pecan halves and vanilla. Mix well and turn into pie shell. Bake in preheated 400ºF oven ten minutes. Reduce heat to 350ºF and bake additional thirty-five to forty minutes, or until filling is puffed in center and is well browned. Let pie cool before cutting. Makes eight servings.
