Christmas Cheesecake With English Toffee Filling

- 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 cup toasted almonds finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup English toffee bits shopping list
- 2 tablespoons ( packed) dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter ( melted) shopping list

- 4 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese room temp. shopping list
- 1 cup ( packed ) dark brown sugar shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 8 ounces chocolate-covered english toffee( such as a heath candy bar) cut into 1/2 inch pieces. shopping list

- 1 -(16 -ounce ) sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- For crust*************
- preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- mix first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl.
- add butter, stir until moist clumps form.
- press mixture over bottom and up 1 inch on sides of an 10 inch springform pan.
- bake crust just until set about 5 minutes,set aside.
- reduce oven now to 325 degrees F.
- ******************** FOR FILLING***************************************
- beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until blended, beat in eggs one at a time blending well after each addition.
- beat in both extracts.
- pour half of the mixture into prepared crust; sprinkle with toffe pieces, pouring remaining mixture over the toffee, bake until edges are puffed but center is barely set, about 55 minutes.
- ************meanwhile prepare topping****************************
- mix sour cream,sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth.
- pour topping over hot cheesecake.bake until topping is just set, about 5 minutes......
- transfer to a cool rack, cool 10 minutes..
- run knife between cake and pan sides. chill cake uncovered overnight
- remove pan sides and place cake on platter
- garnish with red and green m&m's and red and green gumdrops

Wow! That looks gorgeous. I can't believe no one's commented on this beauty. Sure beats the pants of fruitcake or mince pies lol Got my 5 and I think I'll try it this Christmas.
