This recipe is so close to the real deal. Kentucky Fried Chicken has fantastic cole slaw (in my opinion) The secret is to dice finely, and the buttermilk... Enjoy

Ingredients

8 cups finely diced cabbage (about 1 head) shopping list
1/4 cup diced carrots (finely) shopping list
2 tablespoons minced onions shopping list
Dressing: shopping list
1/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
1/4 cup milk shopping list
1/2 cup mayonnaise shopping list
1/4 cup buttermilk shopping list
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar shopping list
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice shopping list

How to make it

Cabbage and carrots must be finely diced.
Pour cabbage and carrot mixture into large bowl and stir in minced onions.
Prepare the dressing, mix until smooth and creamy.
Pour over Slaw and mix thoroughly.
Cover bowl and refrigerate several hours or overnight before serving.

Coleslaw is horrible. They use to make good slaw but now it always taste spoiled and I just found out why. They add buttermilk in it. Gross!!! They need to leave that buttermilk out of it. We just bought some and Yuck I would make the receipe but would not add buttermilk, then it would be delicious.

I have tried lots of cole slaw recipes, and bottled slaw dressings. Every one of them was missing something and just not right. This is the best. Too bad I found this recipe in October. I wish I had it this summer. Definitly a keeper.

I made this when I got up this morning, and it sat in the fridge marinating in it's dressing all day. We just had it with our supper and it was soooooooooo good! My family and I absolutely loved it! I always prefer the sweeter versions of cole slaw and potato salad anyway.
Thank you so much. And yes, it was like the KFC Slaw, and I also thought like the Chick-fil-a Slaw as well.

This sounds wonderful and I am salivating, I too like the coleslaw there. I am going to try this weekend with the spice-rubbed picnic chicken that I am making.

Now if I could just find the Kentucky Fried Chicken gravy and the Popeye's chicken recipe, I would have it made. ::She laughs loudly::
