Sugarcoated Spanish Peanuts Recipe

We have these a lot at our parties or Just to snack on when ever the mood strikes. They are really good and crunchy

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp.maple flavoring
  • 4-1/2 cups raw Spanish peanuts with skins
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, water, maple flavoring and Spanish peanuts, stir well to coat
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat for 20 minutes or until almost all of the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Spread into a greased 15"x10"x1" baking pan.
  4. Sprinkle with salt.
  5. Bake at 350*F. for 26 minutes or until peanuts are golden brown.
  6. Remove to a waxed paper lined baking sheet to cool completely.
  7. Store in an airtight container
